The music company is not wondering if, but when this will come to past. In last couple of years, there has been a decline by almost 20% per year in cd sale and there is no other revenue that can’t be replace it. The music streaming services that are being perused by the label today, will possible have to being paid by the same or similar services in the future.
One way that might keep the labels relevant is to follow or get with the programs that stem music. Everyone has the ability to produce, promotion, and manage himself or herself to a certain degree of popularity or success. We have already seen that the music labels have embraced the 360 deals. This means the label gets a piece of everything you do almost. The one reason that the label may have to pay to play one day is because with the cline in cd sales. In order for old company to stay relevant in an ever-changing industry such as entertainment, it has to learn to embrace new industry standard and tactic. This way they don’t become a part of history.
